“Donald Trump’s image in the American public recently has been associated with the words “You’re Fired,” but there is so much more to his depth as a person and the reasons for his success,” Pastor White said in announcing his appearance on her program. “That Mr. Trump and Robert Kiyosaki have joined forces to write a book that help people achieve their financial goals can be a powerful testimony tool to all our viewers.”

Donald Trump, billionaire deal maker and television personality, has joined with investment and wealth accumulation “how-to” author, Robert Kiyosaki, to write a new best selling book “Why We Want You To Be Rich, Two Men–One Message.” Life Coach and Pastor Paula White will draw out their money making secrets and apply God’s word to their concepts for this unprecedented meeting of money makers and the coach who can help viewers realize their great potential. Robert Kiyosaki is best known for his book Rich Dad, Poor Dad, the #1 New York Times bestseller with over 26 million copies in print. I really don’t think it is wrong to seek wisdom and advice from non-Christians.  But are these guys the best choice to talk about money wisdom for believers?  Making money morally?  Trump has made his money in Casinos and pandering to excess and there are serious questions about the foundational stories Kiyosaki uses regarding his "two dads."  (Note to Mennonites: That is not a homosexual reference, but a reference to a series of stories about father figures in the life of the author.)  Can’t we do better then that?

A thanks goes out to Kevin Bussey for the link.

Kevin also had on his blog a link the an Atlanta Journal-Constitution article on the prosperity gospel that focuses on Rev. Creflo Dollar.  These types of articles have been popular lately in large newspapers but this one might be the best.
