E-mail yourself a reminder
One of the key components of the GTD (Getting Things Done) system is the “someday” file.
This is a file where you stick ideas and papers that you might choose to act on someday. You then set a time to check this file regularly and toss things you decide you will not act on, file things back inside that you are still unsure about, or act on it if you decide you want to.
I generally do this with paper. If I see an idea on the internet I print it out. If it is a brainstorm I write it on paper and stick it in the someday file. But, frequently I run into something online when I am at the library or coffee shop and can not print it out. What then?
Enter Dream Minder. Simply enter the info and/or links into the box, choose when you want to be reminded, give them your e-mail address, and wait to be reminded of something you may or may not want to act on.
Pretty easy, huh? Check it out at: http://www.dreamminder.com

i have another way to remind myself of something important. say, if i’m on the road and think of something genius that will change the world, i call my home phone’s voice-mail and leave myself a message. it’s funny, but it is amazing how freeing this is to the mind, that you can leave a message and just forget about it. it is so liberating that sometimes i have come home, listened to my messages, and actually caught myself wondering who in the heck this was leaving such a weird message, until i realized it was me!
