Is Blogging Wrong?
Have you seen the Sonic Drive-In commercial where the guy eating the ice cream says he is going to write about this experience eating the treat on his blog? His wife then makes fun of him by saying, oh yea, that will be great, then your mom can read about it. It is an interesting commentary on the state of blogs.
As followers of Jesus we always have to think through these kind of things in light of the Bible. These guys have come out and said that blogging does not have a place for Christian teens. I tend to agree with them on the potential dangers involved as well as addressing the prideful need people have to express themselves. But on the whole I think they miss the mark and maintain that tools like Blogs and MySpace are legitimate ways to make connections with people and helpful for folks to share their thoughts and experiences with friends. I also think they don’t get folk’s web-intelligence. But decide for yourself as you read this article from Ambassador Youth.

I side with you, man. Most of the people I’ve seen who are critical of things like blogging are ones who are on the “outside” and run with their first-glance impressions.
