On Ted Haggard
I have not yet weighed in on the Ted Haggard situation and don’t plan to do so…there are a number of great people who have made thoughtful comments. What follows is one of the more unusual ones.
It is a sad fact that Ted Haggard, who has headed the National Association of Evangelicals since 2003, and who this past weekend was caught in lies about drugs and a sexual liaison with another man, has previously lied about other things. It is particularly sad that, to many people, he represents Christ and Christianity. Despite the publicity over his current lies, his previous lies are more concerning because he attempted to cover up his involvement with the New Apostolic Reformation — a dominionist sect at the forefront of the "transformation" of evangelicaldom.
That’s right, what is more concerning than the fact he may have been involved in an adulterous homosexual relationship and, at the least, purchased meth. Ted has unacceptable views on church governance!

To the sheep, God says, “Well done, good and faithful… enter into the joy of the Lord!” To the goats he says, “Depart from me, for you didn’t know part 4, section 6, paragraph A of the Regulations!”
