In a story that deeply saddened me, a hospice in England helped a young man dying of muscular dystrophy have sex with a prostitute.  After the encounter, this is what he said.

"It was not emotionally fulfilling, but the lady was very pleasant and
very understanding. I do not know whether I would do it again. I would
much rather find a girlfriend, but I have to be realistic."

I understand (quite well) the desire to experience sex and in one sense I understand (though not approve of) this as sort of a "make a wish foundation" kind of thing.  But in another sense it speaks to the desperation of people for love and acceptance.

Perhaps we can make use of this article when speaking about where we find ultimate meaning and acceptance as his quote is quite telling.  As we say, "this one will preach."
