Sexual Misconduct Poll

Church Life, Sexual Issues
Christianity Today has a new poll up in light of the latest news about Ted Haggard. (You can view the poll, here. Expect a new one to be up soon.)
The poll has to do with how common sexual misconduct is in the church among staff members. Here is a screen shot.

Here is my question…does this seem high, low, or just about right to you? Why do you say that? It seems high to me, but all I have is anecdotal experience to base it on.

I recently attended a ‘Men of Valor’ conference with other men from my church. One speaker presented data that 53% of Christian men and 39% of Christian women admitted to recently viewing online pornography. Given hot prevalent pornography is in our society, that number doesn’t seems about right, unfortunately. I think that it may happen more than we think because incidents in small congregrations don’t get discussed as much.
