foxit-software_1205359409828.pngHave you ever had the feeling after clicking on a search result that you made a big mistake? You were scanning quickly in your search results, clicked on something you thought might have the information you were looking for, only to be frustrated when your hard drive started whirring and computer came grinding to a halt.

Why did it do this? Because you clicked on a PDF file and the bohemeth known as the Adobe Acrobat Reader started to open. After what seemed like an eternity, the reader opened your document and alas, it did not have what you needed.

If you download the free Foxit Reader you may still be disappointed with your search results, but you will not have your computing come grinding to a halt. Why? Because the Foxit Reader is a simple, streamlined PDF reader. It has all the features you are used to in the Adobe Reader but uses significantly less system resources and thus is considerably faster. Not only do you get the speed, but you do so with no loss in function.

Most churches, mine included, do not have state of the art computers. This need for streamlined programs is all greater if you are in that situation. The difference in speed is even more drastic than the difference between Internet Explorer and Firefox.

The basic Foxit reader is free and the free package actually comes with more options than the free Adobe one. I highly recommend you install the Foxit Reader and uninstall the Adobe Reader…your zealous mouse clicks will thank you.  Happy computing.
